does not mean that we are out of step with the current trends and up to date research.  Awareness by the average homemaker and consumer of sustainable farming, eating local, free-range, organic and humanely raised livestock means that more and more people are appreciating the efforts of their local farms and farmers.  Olde Reminisce Farms is raising Kunekune Pigs on pasture when available always free ranging and living outdoors in a natural setting.  When pasture is not plentiful, we feed bermuda grass hay, orchard grass hay, and bed down our pigs with these grasses.  Kunes need little in the way of supplimentation, however, we do feed organic commercial feeds along with spent brewery grains, seasonal fruits, and vegetables.  Our breeding herd is vaccinated to prevent disease and to protect the human population while our meat pigs are not routinely vaccinated.  Holistic methods and antibiotics are used when needed for the humane treatment of any sick pig.
